March at Plantec was a month of high volume and honest filtering across both of the ways we work with founders.
Sectors in focus
Across our pipeline, activity concentrated in three areas:
Climate infrastructure and healthcare robotics, genuine interest but capital intensity a real constraint
B2B workflow infrastructure, frontline communication platforms and cross-border payment rails
Mandate advisory work, representing close to four in ten conversations as active fundraises intensified
What we're observing
The best founders this month came with clear pivot narratives. One walked us through their journey from managed services to platform, with retention that spoke for itself. Another pivoted from clinic operations to pure technology after recognising constraints their original model could not address. Pivots are not red flags. Poorly articulated ones are.
We also observed that rounds are taking longer to close. One promising company saw their lead investor pause mid-process, forcing a dual-track strategy. Bridge rounds are returning. Valuation expectations are recalibrating. The strongest founder conversations acknowledged these tensions directly rather than avoiding them. Deal flow and decisions continuing into April. 🌱
